    Nominations For Tory Leadership Closed

5 o'clock tonight, and the race is on! So - just for fun - here is an irreverent look at a selection of candidates.

    Forerunner Boris Johnson has
vowed he won't make more faux pas,
By crusading with a *lower profile
Despite *this not being his usual style.

    Under a cloud is
    Michael Gove's campaign,
    Since he's admitted snorting cocaine
But still he feels we otta know
    that was 20~odd years' ago
    !

    E'en
Rory Stewart could face a ban
    For opium in Iran ,
"Come clean" also ... ... was his aim
Because he too is full of shame.

Tax cuts for the lower paid,
    Are pledges
    Dominic Raab's now made:
"Deal or none - we're out the (EU's) "door"
Hmm ... ... we've heard it all before
    !

These then ... they're just four
Whom Tories will be voting for
Despite there being a further seven
    Mak
ing a grand total of eleven.

Well, he seems a bit barmy at times, but at least (hopefully) he has a pair.

Good luck to him , to the UK, and to the value of my pounds !
