It's looking very good, most of the 50's+ in UK have had at least 1 vaccine shot, now they are starting on people 40+. I don't know anyone who's died from a blood clot but I know someone who died of covid.
You only have to look at the death rate in the UK and number of new cases to show Boris finally got it right.
