    Swedish Reaction To Global Pandemic

    https://www.irishtimes.com/news/worl...seve-1.4223367 ...

Although the article I've posted shows members of an outdoor gymnasium exercising in a Stockhom street, there're strong indications that the city's - hithero rather relaxed - attitudes to social distancing are about to be brought [at least partially] into line with lockdowns imposed by the rest of Europe's capitals.

Hmm, ... with the *UK's death toll now being the *highest in Europe ... ... perhaps we'd do well to take a lesson from the Swedes:

I'm hoping that my first Filipina wife, mother of my eldest son, is okay. She lives in Sweden now.

Oops, if my earlier observations in this thread appeared in any way over~optimistic, Graham ... I'd completely forgotten your elder son's mother lived in Sweden.

Tbh, Simon, I'm not entirely sure now you ask ... unless [possibly] from me reading too much into recent reports (like the one that follows) speculating as to what would be the most likely outcome in the event of our UK daily fatality rate continuing to surpass that of those other European countries.

Sadly ... it can now be confirmed Britain's death rate from the disease has finally overtaken the figures applicable to each of Europe's continental nations.

... UK has not only recorded the LARGEST number of deaths in Europe but, at a total of 29,427 to date, it has also moved into the second highest slot worldwide. Next to the United States, in fact - albeit allowing for the vast difference in size between the two.

Tabulated information duly extracted from the facebook page of Tim Eastwood, a good friend of mine on BOTH that site and this one, back in the days when we were called filipino uk!
