    Free Dell laptop 1520

I just saw this advert last night on telly and joined today!

Free Dell laptop 1520 when you join with AOL for broadband and calls package from the mimimum of £19.99 per month (exclude BT line rental £11 per month).

I just joined today, I've been with Talktalk for many years and time for me to have a fresh new broadband and laptop

I joined because I paid about more or less £30 a month with Talktalk including line rental, broadband and unlimited calls compare to AOL package I think it works the same and I will get brand new dell laptop.. wohooo!

I asked if there is any hidden charge and they said no I hope its true. Anyway, I have cooling off period for peace of mind.

I just checked it now, and the lowest price is £29 a month? Maybe the special price applies to LLU enabled broadband lines.

    £19.99 is PAYG LadyJ

You'd need the £30 package PLUS your BT Rental on top of that.

Have they made a mistake on that page? £24.99 & the £29.99 says No Calls!!!!

Actually if you use Carphonewarehouse instead, you can get a free PS3.

I just checked the link you gave me and I was told £29.99 for the AOL Broadband - Wireless Plus - PAYG with WiFi Router on the order form. I was tempted myself, but not at that price. Sky are offering a better deal £28.99 for wireless 8 mb broadband AND Sky TV AND free weekendand evening calls to 01 and 02 numbers.

Type in your town here: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php and you will see your exchange is enabled for LLU.

Your blind Keith! If you dont want their talk package but want the broadband and free laptop only then you pay 29.99 a month.

24.99 for unlimited calls! you missed that bit 'unlimited' now go back to the site and read it again

Why am I blind, I was pointing out the different options!! It is expensive, and the laptop is no good for anything other than surfing, and word processing, etc. This is a 2 year contract.

TalkTalk & Sky are the best around for value.

I called Sky and they confirmed £29.99 (I'm paying £18.99 just for broadband) for 8mb broadband + wireless + 30Gb allowance + Sky TV (2 packages) + free evening and weekend calls to 01 and 02 numbers plus 5% discount on calls to mobile numbers + only 12 month contract, the package is called Sky Connect. Seems good enough for me, and was very tempted. Might call back and order it tomorrow.

Interesting, they claimed/insisted I would get between 8 and 16mb broadband speed. How can that be when our exchange isn't ADSL2 enabled, just Max. only.

most 'unlimited' are not unlimited, how the hell they can advertise they are when they are 'subject to a fair usage policy'

thats why i'm still using bulldog, as it is one of a few isp's that are truely unlimited.. and when in the past i used tiscali, i signed up for unlimited, that's what they advertised it as, and starting capping me, downloads at max 5k , i waved bye bye to them , been with the bulldog for a couple of years, pc on 24/7 downloading, and it warms the house up to , never had a problem

Tiscali are now offering Line rental with free broadband and wireless router for £14.99 per month. There is a one off set up charge of £30.

With the saving from doing away with your BT line rental this works out at broadband for around £4 per month.

I have changed from AOL to this package and everything is working fine now with the same download speeds I was getting from AOl, though it took around six weeks to get changed over.

At the time of changing this was the best deal from any ISP that I could find.

With the ''Free'' laptop package from AOL you end up paying for it by the high monthly subscription and being tied into a long contract.
