The vaccination drive in the Philippines is still moving far too slowly, less than 10% of the PI population have currently been vaccinated.
It needs to speed up, exponentially.
5 Million lang??
Got to love this place. Definitely more fun here that`s for sure!!
Keep up the good work Philippines!
Pathetic.
110 mil + population.
Where is all the money given by donor countries and organisations ? Where are all the millions of vaccine shots given by them also ?
Now kids are not to be allowed out again. Ridiculous.
Graham..The local politicians and Health Nazi`s are utterly destroying the whole country in order to keep us "safe".
We are lucky that the kids here have lots of large areas to play in.. Being a kid locked up in a big concrete city like Manila or Cebu and forcing them to cover their air ways with a face nappy must be horrific for them.. Child abuse plain and simple.
Agree Fred.
Fortunately our soon to be 6 year-old is free to play in large fields every day, with friends and rellies.
I was not aware of any misappropriation of funds related to Covid support, the real issue for the Philippines is low vaccine supply.
Two months ago the Philippines and Thailand had a similar percentage of their population vaccinated, now Thailand is steaming ahead with vaccination and the AstraZeneca vaccine is being produced at a plant in Thailand. However, production problems at the Thai plant and a spike in Covid infections in Thailand have delayed vaccine supplies to other countries including the Philippines.
As reported in the Bangkok Post
