Philippine court directs regulator to reinstate the license of news site Rappler

An appeals court has overturned a 2018 government order that tried to shut down Rappler, a Philippine news website known for its critical coverage of former President Rodrigo Duterte's "war on drugs," which led to thousands of deaths.

The appellate court stated that the SEC "acted with grave abuse of discretion" when it revoked Rappler's certificate of incorporation.

Correct..Might also be best for Brit citizens not to comment too much on British socialist/Commies running that shithole as it could land you 20 months prison time!

You have to look at a wide spread of media to try and get the true picture. Only sheep follow one news channel. Everything needs to be fact checked, yet only 36% of people do that. The rest just follow the crowd.

Regardless of who is in power in the Philippines, or UK, they are both well run countries. All governments get things wrong and right.
