    Proposed Rule Changes 2008

    Here we go again.....

    • Migrants would be refused full access to benefits and public services until they had completed a "probationary citizenship phase".
    • A limited number of migrant categories would be granted the status of probationary citizens for a time-limited period in which they would have to earn full citizenship or permanent residence.
    • Full access to benefits - such as jobseeker's allowance and income support – would no longer be granted to some migrant categories until after they had been in the UK for five years.
    • Migrants would have to meet certain requirements, such as abiding by the law.
    • Migrants should earn citizenship by doing community work! (So they are guilty without offending then???)....get the citizens off their ass first.
    • Will cost more money.........surprise!!!

You got to admit it, this shower in goverment know a thing or two on how to invent new taxes....

But I have this little nagging feeling that it is just a smokescreen to hide other, more important things...
