    The government believes encouraging people to share journeys will help combat congestion.

    Really?

    How about people who work shifts or part-time hours, or a rural area (like where I live)?

    Although its a proposal, this is just another step on the road to George Orwell's 1984. Cameras everywhere watching everything we do, and penalising you ££££££'s if you slip up. Disturbing.

    ...and how many of these 'special' lanes do you have in Abertwitwyth?

    They actually work well in the USA, but they are built as part of the road when it's new, and so normal lanes are 2-5 wide, they do not take the 'Fast lane' and convert it as we do over here
