Acquiring a UK Work Visa for IT professional

    Hi,
I would like to ask if it is feasible to acquire a UK Working Visa even if you do not have an employer yet. I am a Filipino IT professional, specializing in Software QA/Software Testing. I am very interested in working in UK and have seen a lot of job postings related to my specialization. However, my big dilemma is most of the agencies/companies that reply to me require an existing UK working visa.
Can I apply on my own even without sponsorship?

    Thanks.

Your chances of getting in Europe are pretty close to zero these days, even if you are a brain surgeon

Can't you work online for yourself? I do, and my sites can be operated from any country in the world.

if your young, i take it you are 24, have a degree at least, and have had a good paying job, then you could try highly skilled migrant programme (hsmp)

you don't need a job offer or a workpermit, but you need 75 points to be able to apply.

I don't think the combined points of our politicians reach 75pts
