If so, there is no way the parents of the other woman can have any influence on his marriage to you, since if he is not married, then there is no legal caveat that may be introduced to stop this.

i would agree totally with previous comment, i don't see what they can do to stop your marriage happening if he had no legal tie to the other woman. Of course that doesn't mean they won't try. People are objectionable wherever you go, and i've found relatives of my fiancee to be a match for anyone in that department. It's quite likely though that they can't afford to hire a swanky lawyer to look into it anyway, and i really can't see any way the law can trip you up.
