If the marriage is to take place in his local town where the mother of his child and her family live then there is every chance they will find out about this. How they react i guess depends on the two of thems relationship and in a phill cvill wedding there is the chance for somebody to object to the marrying of you both and i guess while waiting the ten days i think it is.
