'acquired' accent

I came across a blog ranting against Filipinos who have 'acquired' accents the author said.... 'I see much of the (homegrown) Pinoys anywhere in the world think that they are somebody they are not. With those "acquired" accent? Hey guys, you are not Meryl Streep or Renee Zellweger, or Don Cheadle. Dont you ever have the guts to tell Heath Ledger to move over. To me, you look funny and pathetic....'

I have nothing against Filipinos with 'acquired' accents. what do you think?
