Has anyone got Philippine TV channels here???

I was just wondering if, anyone has installed satellite TV where you can pick up Pinoy or any other Philippine channels. I want to install here in the U.K, I was able to install in Kuwait no probs and, would think it was the same here except the COST!
I love to watch Tagalog programs and films and, comedy especially.

    Regards
    Darren

You can get ABS-CBN through broadband , but it cost £67 yearly, depending
    on the rates.

For a first start, you can susbscribe to their internet TV. It's the less costly system. It work fine on a broadband connection. You have several rate for the subscription depending on what you want to see:
    See here: http://now.abs-cbn.com/

For TFC Europe, you will need a satellite dish and receiver, and a decoder with a subscription. I just find the rate expensive to receive only 4 channels (it's as expensive as what I pay for 350 channels here...) but it's up to you.
    See here: http://www.abs-cbnglobal.com/
To locate a dealer for installation: http://www.abs-cbnglobal.com/Regions...3/Default.aspx
    ABS-CBN Europe contact infos: http://www.abs-cbnglobal.com/Regions...1/Default.aspx

    To have ideas in pricing:
    - on internet: 13$usd/month (outside broadband subscription),
    - on satellite: last time I checked 2 years ago it was 200€ for the decoder and 25€/month for access to the 4 channels (outside of satellite dish/receiver buying and installation cost)
    Best regards.
    Yves

£27.00 per month for a 12 month contract, for only 5 channels, TFC 2 general entertainment channel, including Wowowee, Game Ka na Ba ? ANC news, Pinoy Central, and Tagalog movies.

Some think its expensive, and they would be right.

But if it beats homesickness and helps the hubby with his tagalog then its worth the cost surely?

We pay 500PHP per month to avoid programmes like Wowowee and Tito Vic and dipstick!
Watch BBC world ,CNN Asia, about 5 movie channels, discovery and UFC fights from the states on one of the sports channels etc..
    Tagalog not allowed!..
    Sorry Tagalog!!
Why someone would pay 27.00 quid a month in the UK to watch that crap is beyond me.

what encryption do they use for the Sat? The reason i ask is that is that you can normally download them for free apart from NDS and then you can watch it via Sat....

    Hi,

We've got TFCko , basically video on demand . You get all your favorite programs backdated by a few hours , you can pause , stop ,m rewind etc.

Missus thinks its great , there is literarly 1000s of hours of the latest TV/Movies to watch - everything is archived so for example your Mahal can watch all of last weeks Wowwowee in one go !!!

Its transmitted via broadband and then uses Wifi to connect between PC and desk top set

Costs £19 per month plus £80 for the box - you can get from Pinnoy Mall

I too am considering getting TFCko to stop my wife from getting homesick.

What is the picture quality like on TFCko?

Is it as good as satellite?

Is Pinnoy Mall a uk company? If so then what are their contact details please.

    Brian
