As was said before when living in N.Ireland you can have both an Irish & British passport which my friend does. He only had a British one i think and then when i told him about this option he got an Irish one and seemed to have no problems,Originally Posted by joebloggs

But i agree with an earlier post if you have to wait 5 years before applying for an ILR because your visa is a 5 year one it seems a long time to wait.
