it can take upto 3 months, but average is around 4wks, and if you don't get it, look at the reasons for refusal, and get what evidence you need to sort the problem out. you might be able to appeal, not always a good idea, could take a long time, or apply again.
Many thanks......
Our spouse visa took 5 weeks - we submitted our paper on January 11th this year and got the visa on Feb 13th. This period seems pretty much the norm at the moment
As soon as your wife gets visa she can join you , but remember she will need CFO stamp to travel - takes 1 day . Best place to get it in Manila is SMEF-COW center
As for refusal , provided you follow the UK visa guidelines , submit the correct papers , show you have suitable accomidation in the UK and can support her - I think there is very little chance that she or in fact anyone would be refused a visa . To think of it I dont think I've ever heard of a spouse visa gettind refused and as joebloggs says if for what ever reason it was refused , focus on that reason, I sure that can be resolved.
If you cannot resolve this yourself - contact your local MP and get him to petition the home office / british embassy . After all , under European Human Rights "A legally married man and wife has the right to live together"
Be sure you will submit all requirements needed.
it depends on ur preparation of the documents needed, some of us here got it in a couple of weeks time, some took months, some even in days..
if she's lucky enough to have it she can join u as long as u want, just make sure she has attended the CFO seminar but if she's denied I am sorry mate she cannot join u unless when the ECO returns her documents there are appeal forms included then u can apply for an appeal on her application..
Goodluck..![]()
Hi when my fiancee and i applied in feb 2007 we thopught everything was ok all docs right papers of evidenceect , what stopped us was the medical .The so called specialist said she had mild tb , so it was a case of do the traetment and wait many doc visits and prescriptions later she was given the all clear.
I can imagine what you must be going through as the last 12 months was the most stressfull of my life sick elderly parents a supposedly sick fiancee made my life a living hell still we are ok now and i wish you all the best.
hi happyman, i am sorry on what had happened on ur fiancee's visa application before but I think the rules on how to apply a visa here in the UK is different in Australia..![]()
