Post Commercial pirates thrive in Philippines

Every day, vendors of pirated movie and music discs sell their goods under rows of trees along a street in downtown Manila, just a few metres away from a police station and the Department of Justice office.

well, when i first went to phils, 7+ yrs ago, in most of the malls, the only thing that they seemed to sell were pirated s/w and mobile phones

you don't need car boot sales to get your warez, when you can easily download it yourself

also at a well known computer show near me, for many years 10's of people use to sell warez outside it (only reason why most people went), and many were cops who were buying it

been here since the days of the commodores, tandys and apples in the late 70's/early 80's and will always be here..
