Brit Businessman "Abducted" in the philippines

A friend, just sent me an email, to a sky news article about a believed abduction.
James David Rowe, was last seen leaving a hotel, in Zamboanga City, more than 24 hrs ago.
Police have launched a full scale search for him.

Mindanao - huge island with problem spots. One Brit kidnapped in the past one year. Portugal - safe as houses, one British girl still missing. Thailand, safe place - Welsh girl murdered and raped on beach. India, Goa, young girl drugged, raped and murdered. Newport - Vietnamese guy dragged into hospital and left for dead.

Read all that, and you will never leave your home.

But India, Vietnam, Portugal etc DO NOT have govenment warnings about not to go, and insurance companies will cover you in those places, but not Mindanao. 'Normal' murders/rape/etc do take place in every country, but the risks are higher than average in Mindanao.

i think you made a mistake dom with your abacus , its more than £5000, and its not me who thinks that, but his chinese business partner thinks he could have .. sounds like the guy is more worried about his money than his partner

as for goa, there's been a few murders there, but then again 100,000s of tourists go there every year, and how many whitey's go to the zamboanga

do the military still keep a tally of the whiteys at the airport as they land and leave ?

glad to see that he is safe... but again why was this not on the news?

A man goes missing = nothing

a girl goes missing = world wide coverage when we all know she was killed by her parents (did i just say that?)
