dengue fever..... is this like ordanary fever as i got back 4 weeks ago from Sirawai, zamboanga de nord and had 4 days in bed hot sweating and aching like i had never felt as an english man.. except for the man flu i get when i need a day off.. i did also have many mozzy bits on my legs as at night my legs were off the bed and under the net.

do i need to take more care as i did not even know about and fevers in the philippines { umm shows how silly we can be at times a } and are there any months to avoid

Depends how you feel about it, I make it if you live in the Philis you have a 1 in 2000 chance of contracting it each year and if you do a 99% chance of surviving I suspect youngsters the already sick or malnourished and the elderly make up a high percentage of the mortality's.

Personally it doesn't make me worry
