Based on your experience, just wanna know when should i follow up/call UKVACS to check on my application? and would u guys recommend calling them to follow it up? if u think yes, can i just e-mail them? or is its best to call?...coz ive been regiously tracking my application through their website almost 6 weeks by tommorrow but the same message appears, that my application has been submitted to the Uk high commission last April 02,2008..

Help please! I just can't wait to be with my hubby!...thanks much!!

Just sit tight and wait, don't bother phoning anyone as the answer will invariably be.... "going through local checks".....

E-mailing......... By the time they decide to answer, you will have run out of finger nails to bite and will be starting on the dog's....

I did all that, phone, email, etc. No satisfaction at all.

Just wait and make the most of your free time while still single, it will soon come to an abrupt end......

as ive known to some others whose been into that same process, i guess you should have the right to follow up, some others do by email and some do by phone...but i guess best is to do both same time...either of those two for your peace of mind...theres no harm of trying and asking for the updates of your application and its your obligations as well to do so since it is already 6weeks passed by ...so don't feel intimidated to call as its only right...
you are only just asking anyways hows going on with your application for them also to remind off....there is nothing wrong with that and you should have to..okay girl...good luck....



or else just be patient.....take the most out of your time while you were here still in phils....................you will be together in God's perfect time............just be calm and take it easy......okay..........

In my opinion just wait and relax ,cause they know what they're doing though for sure they wont forgot yours, and besides its really normal until 8 weeks and as per joe can be 3 months on waiting lol,its just Tuesday today ...who know tomorrow Thursday or Friday


And the next time you start a thread,don't use the introduce yourself thread,i thought ur newbie eh

if i were you....i will do and take my moves....there is really nothing wrong with that.................what makes you afraid and scared of? nothing wrong with that. you are just doing what is best and you are in the best position to do so....there is no harm of trying and you lose nothing at the end of your call......(peace) he he he .....

i would wait another week, if you've heard nothing give them a call, yes it can take 3 months, but most find out around 4-6wks. you really don't want to wait 3 months

if i had not complained to the embassy after nearly 3 months of waiting and about their service they provided , i think we still be waiting now.. (everytime i emailed them, when i replied to the person, only to find out they were on hols for the next 2wks, on a course, everytime i got a reply it was from someone else

once i got past the penpushers who work at the embassy, and got thru to the whiteys, my wife got her visa the same day

my wife was phoning them weekly to find out what was happening.. being fobbed off with the classic local police checks..

so i would give them a weekly phone call

with regards to that, I'm even thinking of asking my hubby to call british embassy to make follow-up instead of me calling them. Maybe, their call is more of value & weigh much compared to mine, hehehe! But i think that will be after 2months without feedback yet.

Walang anuman po! Maraming salamat din. We don't yet have a date for travel to the UK but it is likely I will travel to accompany Sofi back to the UK within 2 days of getting the confirmation her visa is granted.

I hope its soon. We'll see how things pan out; perhaps with your applications being only one day apart we might travel around the same time.

Thanks Kukurokuk !!! by the way i wanted to tell u guys that i decided to e-mail the UKVACS to follow up my application this morning... For this reason:

Last May 12,2008 Monday, I was at the UKVACS to pick up my refund.

April 02,2008 that was the day i was able to submit my application at the same time filed my refund application too. The guy told me that its gonna take 3 to 4 weeks before they can issue the check and when it happens they are going to give us a call.

May 02,2008 its been 4 weeks no calls. So I e-mailed them and ask about the progress of my refund.

May 03,2008 i received a response from them saying that i can pick my refund anytime between 10am to 4pm.

May 12,2008 thts when we decided to go to Makati and pick up the check.

May 15,2008 Today, my mother wants me to go with her to the bank to deposit the check, but i told her im not in the mood and see the check it is valid for 6 months, when i was checking it I just found out that moment, having it for 3 days, that it has been issued APRIL 18,2008.
So I thought, why do they have to make me wait for a month if they already have it April 18,2008 ... If I didn't e-mail them, would they give me a call? and if yes, when would i received such call?...

Thanks everyone for the support and advices... Hope to received a response from UKVACS...hope its a good one... I will let you know..
