what type of visa are you here on spouse/workpermit ?

why are you phoning agenices ? why don't you phone the care homes, and also look for jobs at your local nhs hospitals. there are jobs you can do without needing to take uk exams.

    http://www.jobs.nhs.uk/cgi-bin/advsearch

there are nearly 10,000 nhs jobs listed, you might find one you like and can apply for. just do a search in your local area..

Hi jguanlao and welcome to the forum.
My wife took a 6 month full time caregiver course in the Philippines, but unfortunately in this country they don't recognise her qualifications, they only seem to recognise NVQ's for caregiving.

Also try the jobcentreplus website - there are lots of caregiver vacancies on there. Not all the employers require you to have an NVQ, and some will even help you to obtain one.

My wife recently returned to work in the UK. In one week she has had three interviews for care giver jobs and three offers. She already has an NVQ, which helps. She approached agencies and homes direct. Its worth a look at this website:

She worked as a home care worker for Surrey CC - they provided excellent training.

    try www.guide2care.com

But to get work asap would advise just calling round the homes there is always a shortage of workers. As regards to qualifications you will find they are likely to stick you on an NVQ course although if possible to get qualifications recognised would save a lot of trouble of going over things twice.

Get enrolled to NVQ Level 2 in school then find a homecare for placement and training. You will get paid while studying.
