    question on bank statement..

my husband is submitting his bank statements with my visa application. He had an agreed overdraft with the bank last December 2007, he went overdraft because he went here last December to visit me. Apart from that, he had no overdraft. He is earning 43,000 pounds a year. Just want to know if this would be a problem for us or might be the cause of my visa refusal. His bank statement is now ok and got more than extra 3K pounds in it. We are planning to pass my visa application by mid June. We just want to know if we will have a positive result with my visa application. SHould he mention that in his sponsorship letter??? we do miss each other and we cant afford to get refused... please help.

    thanks!

hi. based on my experience with my application as far as I remember my husband's bank statement is in RED and no savings at all. But he has a fulltime job to support me and a house I can stay when I come to UK that time.

On my opinion you are just fine the most important thing is he can support and accomodate you without a recourse to public fund.

    Good luck to you application!

your lucky if you got your visa, i've seen a few rejected for not having any savings.. how can he support you, if he has no money ?

but to sweetcookie, like kimmi said, just explain why he was in the red that month, and you shouldn't have a problem

Just to add in confidence, I think there will be no problem as it happened just once and now ok and that the salary is huge.

It's understood that when you go to Philippines, you will treat the whole town, hehe... kiddinG!

sorry for being makulit.. hehe. So it is really indeed OK for us to pass my visa application with together with his bank statements with one time overdraft??? we just want to be sure because we dont want to waste 515pounds and pay again when re-applying. please confirm my friendly friends.. as long as it will be written and explained clearly on his sponsorhip letter why his bank statement got overdraft last dec.

thanks for the replies sis kimmi, flomike, sir joebloggs and jamz.

hi chino, he got red only once in his whole year of working from his company. the bank statement that shows his overdraft was on January statement. He went to the Philippines last december to visit me and paid 1K++pounds for his airfare, then hotel billing for 10 days. But by month of Feb up to this time, his bank statement is OK and healthy. He has extra 3K in his account to date, he just received his bank statement for May showing he has extra 3K. should we need to wait another month before I pass my application?

I agree sweet, just to make sure everything is ok,at least only one month u have to wait.. rather than doubt of killing them 515pounds what is 1 month anyway...again IMO

    hello,

below is a part of my hubby's sponsorship letter. He explained about why his bank account was in red last January. Need opinion if that part is already OK, especially with regards to his bank account. Sister Kimmi have read the letter already and she said it was OK. Would also want to ask opinions here..

" I am a full-time employee of ABC company, a software house in the City, where I work as a software developer. My basic salary is £40K++ per annum. I also have a very good credit history. Consequently, I am easily able to support my wife financially. I have already been helping to support her through international money transfers. I travelled to the Philippines three times in ten months, and I financed a lavish wedding in Manila.

Further to that, I must add that Maricar has considerable earning potential in her own right. Her field is software testing, also referred to as Quality Assurance. She is an experienced team leader, and can easily command a salary very similar to my own. She has already been approached by recruitment agents in London, but currently does not have permission to work in the UK.

Thus, I anticipate absolutely no difficulty in my wife and I supporting ourselves without recourse to public funds, and contributing to the nation through our taxes. The three visits to Manila in the last year have caused me an unaccustomed financial strain, so I am looking forward to settling down to stable married life in London as soon as possible. "

thanks sis Kimmi yeah, hope we could chat again soon.

I'm getting nervous now, my hubby just sent off all his documents today through DHL. I still need some documents though. Hopefully I'll be lodging my visa app end of June.

    hi sweet_cookie08!

you have nothing to be nervous of upon submitting docs to UKVACS, as long as you have the right/proper documents, sufficient enough as evidence, then it would be fine.

after all, waiting for result of visa is more to be nervous & worried of like many of us here!

    Good Luck!

THanks telford for the encouragement as well. Wow! 3days?!?!?! what a lucky girl you are! what did you do with your app? I hope I'll get mine in 4 days!.. hehehe. But not sure if I'll be very happy if they approved it in 4days! I'm still working and I need to tender 1 month after resignation. Well, I'll just probably use my remaining leaves. But I do hope it wont take me 3 months of waiting and that would make meinsane!

sure! I will announce it here in the forum! Thanks so much for helping us pray!

just an advice, please make sure to arrange your docs based on checklist coz some of the staff of UKVACS are so strict that they won't allow you to be arranging docs infront of them. also, you don't need to place your docs in a very expensive/nice folder/envelope coz when you submit docs, they will place it in the envelope which they will provide.

    Good Luck!
