Advice please

My brit husband is staying here with me in Phil since January this year and we got married last Feb 15. Yesterday we decided to apply settlement visa via online application. We rushed into it yesterday because the consulate in Angeles Pampanga sent us email saying that this coming Monday the exchange rate of pounds into Pesos will be 1- 90. So we got the application online successful and we will pay tomorrow P43,775 via bank over the counter. And after we pay I will book an appointment to UKVACS. In my application I used my passport with my maiden name. Because I just got the new passport december 2007( machine readable passport). Can I ammend my passport after I got the visa . Or I ammend it first before I submit my docs next week.. Please I need advice from you guys before we make appointment.. Thanks for the advice in advance

A lot of people still using their single name on their passport so there's no harm using yours. As they can see, your passport was issued Dec 2007 and you got married Feb 2008. You can ammend your passport anytime you want. Just put this in your mind, In your future application ie. applying for bank account etc. they might want to see your ID/passport in your married name, sometimes you might find a lot easier using your married name in all your IDs.

hi angel welcome to the forum,anyway in your passport name is still in your maiden name,there nothing wrong with it i didn't change my maiden name till i got my british passport

But I m not sure if she might get a problem if she goes to CFO with the single name and visa on her passport? Is there anyone here think that would be an issue?

If I remember correctly, you wont be allowed to change your name on your passport until you been for the CFO seminar.

Thanks guys for welcoming me in this forum,, lots of friendly people here I know. Thanks for the advise . I already got my CFO certificate last week. I attended using passport with my maiden name. Had no problem there. I am thinking to go to DFA pampanga on friday they said there, its just one day for the ammendment. But I already got the online application and and have appoinment in UKVACS on June 12. I hope my passport will be ammend before my appointment. This site is very helpful, thats why I know about CFO because of reading here . Me and my husband starting to get stress now hehe.
