Always a good idea to get a check up from the doctors. But no particularly reason medical wise apart from making sure no problem with x ray.
But what it is worth doing is getting all dental work up to date.
Nearly all health care and medcine free or very very cheap in the UK
But dental work not so.
Make sure your teeth are in a1 condtion before arriving.
