Any suggestions for a Phils honeymoon location

    Hello,

Soon, in July, I will be married to my beautiful mahal

I would like to go on honeymoon to somewhere quiet-ish where we can mostly relax and plan our future. It would be nice to go out on day trips in Phils as my future wife doesn't like being out in the hot sun a lot (she wants white skin ).

I went to Palawan 10 years ago and that seemed very rugged and beautiful.
I have never been one for over-expensive hotels, just ones that are quiet, friendly, clean and aesthetically pleasing.
    Any suggestions please?

Thanks from a man who is getting more excited by the day

Coco Beach Resort on Puerto Galera is nice and quiet, plus if you want to have a night with a bit more life you can take a 5 min boat ride to Sabang

Good luck for your wedding, we wish you a long and happy life together.

I would agree with Gemini 63.

Vanessa and I married in April, we honeymooned in a beach resort (there are several) near Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, this was mainly due to the fact we married in the north of the main Island. It was a beautiful place "extremely quiet" the beaches are beautiful white sand and off the shore there are hills, waterfalls etc. The main problem I had personally was the heat, I wanted so much to enjoy looking around the area and enjoying the beach but found in reality we stayed under shade either around our lodge or restaurant till about 4pm before venturing to the sea. Having said that, it was cooler when we ventured to the hills, I enjoyed very much swimming beneath the waterfall we visited. I must also point out it is not the easiest of places to get to.

    Good Luck.

    John and Vanessa.

if you want intimate times in the beach i suggest boracay, puerto galera, resorts in subic & palawan or if u not in a budget amanpulo
cooler place with parks i can say tagaytay, baguio
manila will be good place too with good and romantic hotels.
but really depends in what u both like try to ask ur soon to be wife for sure she had a place in mind..
wish you all the best on ur wedding and happy ever after life together.

I hear that Moss Side is quite nice this time of year.

Seriously, Negros is a beautiful island and Hanna and I could show you around - although I appreciate that you want to be 'alone.'

Palawan is one of the nice choices. When you’re there, try visiting Puerto Princesa Underground River

Here are some links for you and your mahal where you can consider spending your “Honeymoon”

If you want your Mahal to experience cool weather, you may try Baguio or Tagaytay.
Since July falls to rainy season (from June to November), your fiancée will surely enjoy the journey of Matrimony without having to bask in the sun.

    Congratulations to both of you!
    Cheers!

I'd certainly recommend Panglao, Alona Beach as the resorts are nice and reasonable, the beach is nice and you can explore Bohol.
And, if you can sneak away for a dive or two, it's got very good diving.
Otherwise, blow the budget and go to Plantation Bay on Mactan.

Good Luck in your upcoming wedding!

If you wanted to have it within cebu, i would suggest Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort, very nice place for honeymoon.

    Thanks to all for suggestions.

I talked to Rochelyn this morning and when I asked her about this she said Bohol, but in her usual gentle understated way followed by "sup2u"

Well if my new wife is happy then so will I be, so we will go there and see.

Gavanddal - I dived in Alona Beach years ago but did not explore Bohol before, only the undersea life.

I will spend every minute on honeymoon with Rochelyn, unless of course she wants me out of her hair for a few hours. "Panaginip" will have her newbies - ipod & phone to work out

Thanks everyone for such extensive help

The little house would be nice if the boats of day trippers weren't able to go alongside

Hi aug06_2006 Thanks for the best wishes
Not exactly sure of the dates at the mo, they will depend on when we are married, but I'm guessing it will be last two weeks in July, perhaps into early August.
If you pm your Philippine cell number and your names, will call you when we get there.
Do you know a nice place for us to stay? I will arrange the honeymoon when in Phils but it is always good to get tips from others
