The unbearable pain after the meeting

My eyes are still swollen while writing this post.I have been crying the whole day.I shed tears for the love I am so scared to lose.My boyfriend is still on the plane right now on the way back to London.He left China at 9 AM today after an 18-day visit.The pain seems to be really unbearable.I thought that the trust we have for each other is enough but considering the different life issues that we re both facing, the thread of hope seems to weaken.I am so scared that financial and security problems will find its way to kill our desire of being together despite how many times we claim that we love each other deeply.He left bringing the frustration that we cant be together as soon as we desire.We share the same problems (VISA ISSUES) as other members in this site are having but ours is too complicated.He is an Italian working and living in London.I am a filipina working and living in China.If I go back to Philippines and get married with him so that we can start the visa processing, I will lose the job and opportunity that many people have dreamed of. If he goes to Philippines and marry me there in the next couple of months or so, he will lose a very important project and may face serious poverty issues.We have to wait for the right time but what is frustrating is its uncertainty .
I have always heard about how people grieve over long distance relationships but it didnt really sink in until I reached to the point of having my share.I am so depressed right now and I know he ,also, is.

Can anyone share some infos or experiences wherein its possible for 2 aliens in a country like China to marry and process SPOUSAL visa to UK (or maybe shengen)?I wonder if its possible for a china resident visa holder like me to do the shengen(since he's from italy)or uk visa processing here in China.We are both frustrated now.WE have discussed a number of options and we both think that its better for me to continue working for few more months here and getting married here is the best option.
I have to stop writing now...ideas seem to stop overflowing....please show me how where the rainbow is....

just from a quick read of your situation.

You could aply from china as your working there longterm.

If your hubby is italian then you should be able to look at applying for an EEA permit
which is free.

Dom is the expert on here and he is of italian blood living in the Uk

CHEER UP GIRL!!!! Love conquers all I think you can easily obtain schengen visa as you have a good job in China. Love is patient, it's hope and patience never fail.!!! I am sure you can get a month holiday from your job and same as your BF. If there's a will there's a way, pero kung ayaw, laging may dahilan. So cheer-up and don't think negatively

Been there, long distance is hard but all is well in the end if you understands!

in short get it approved by the brit embassy and your sorted. But depends on the small print as always as you were a brit first

You Can Inquire In British Consulate In Guangzhou,, They Are Very Friendly There. I Think Would Be No Problem For You Because You Have Residence Visa. Dont Be Sad

yes you could, thats if they don't reject your misses app, not all countries are so nice to non EEA nationals as the uk

I am sori to hear about that piccolapiccolo.am sure you`ll find ways to solve this difficult situation.as in my case before when i was working in kuwait i havent got a choice but to go home.but I think in your case is different and probably you have the chance in getting it there (china)or your fiance will be able to get you from there to uk for free its a matter of reading all the post in here about visa and ask dom for some info.Hope it help you a bit to ease your pain awaydont worry as they said you`ll see light at the end of a tunnel.youy`ll never know what life may brings you both.just dont forget to pray and ask God`s guidance.goodluck mate!

i don't know much about that, but i don't think so, i would have thought you would have to go and live in portugal for at least 6months and be excerising your treaty rights (working, self-employed etc) and then apply for a family permit for your wife at the Portuguese embassy in manila (is there one ?) , after getting her to portugal, then you would have to sponsor your wife and apply for a british family permit at the british embassy in portugal, and it should all be free
, but no doubt not so stragiht forward

I still have a house there and 16 years of The Portugal experience what i would say and will research is that the income requirements ,accomadation , savings ect are almost certain to be much less than the UK

better than that, its your legal right under european law to bring a family member to live with you..

but your in the uk, and so your not using your treaty rights in portugal
