Hi All. Great To Find Your Website And Forum. I Have A Filipina Girlfriend Who Is Actually Living And Working In Cyprus. I Am A British Citizen But Living In Southern Ireland (never One For Doing Things The Simple Way) I Have Been Looking At Options To Bring Her Here To Live With Me And The More I Look The More Complicated It Seems To Get. We Have Actually Met And Been Together On A Number Of Occasions As I Have A Home In Cyprus. We Are Very Much In Love And Want To Be Together. I Have My Own Business And Can Employ Her, Provide A Situation, Accomodation, Financial Support Or Whatever Is Necessary. Things Seem To Be Getting A Little Tighter Here In Southern Ireland. I Have Been Looking At Visitors Visas, Fiancee, Student Etc. At This Point I Really Have No Idea In Which Direction To Start Looking. I Went To See The Consul Here In Dublin And He Has Sent Me A Mountain Of Forms And Paperwork. The Fact That I Live Very Close To The Border With Northern Ireland And That I Am British Could Open Up Another Avenue As If What I Have Read So Far, There Is Still A Little More Flexibility In The Uk. I Guess Any Pointers Would Be Greatly Appreciated. Regards Brendan

Get her a fiance' visa? Get married?

It all depends on your and her status, if you/she are married or not.

Once you get married things are more easier. Fiance' visa is ok while you two are planning your wedding.

I think it is better if you get more information from the embassy where she lives.

I would go and see a local (i.e. Rep of Ireland) solicitor that specialised in immigration particularly if you can afford good advice.

    hi!
we experienced also like what ur problem is b4 even all my papers works are complete and also my hubby's paper work.at that time i only apply for a tourist visa coz our plan is to get married here in uk,and i remember also at that time there's a bombing in london.so even our papers complete its hard to pass to get my visa, they can find a small reason so that u can't pass or can't get ur visa.like my savings account need to be 6 months b4 my interview in British Embssy.
so me and my hubby go to thailand after what happened[my hubby stay with me 10 months out of 12 moths, comeback here in england for a weeks and then back to me in phils.]we spend 3 months in thailand[koh samui, pattaya, chaing rai, phuket, bangkok]
and after that my hubby fetch all our papers here in england, submit it in registry office here in durham and after 21 days,he comeback in phils and we get married.
its hard to get any visa[tourist, fiancee]here.much better if u get married first in phils.and then no problem at all.
my advice to ur gf is,if she finish her contract there much better if she comeback in phils for a couple of months and fix all ur paper works and then get married there in phils.
    olla!no probs,she can stay with u forever!

yeah let your gf finish her contract and back to PI its depend on your plan if you get mrried in PI or you get married here in UK,what you need to do is complete all documents...if you decide to get married in PI or here in UK next time to meet your gf bring all documents you have, and start your application.
