Hi, im a student in UK. Im planning to go to france. i booked an appointment online for july 17th, 2008. now im not sure when will i go to france to be exact since im waiting for my brother n friend to come from canada hopefully by the end of august. so now my question is it compulsory to show the embassy proof of hotel bookings? n travel insurance. plss lemme know. thanks.

What Nationality are you?
A Canadian will need a Schengen visa took before leaving Canada at the French Consulate there (list here: http://www.ambafrance-ca.org/article...id_article=472 ).
