but what you would get depends on your husbands income and yours if you work, and don't forget only he can claim not you, but you both have to fill the form in, no problems with child benefit to.
i've been claiming both for the last 2yrs, to help pay for child care as i work, and the misses works part time.. and she got ILR while i was claiming so no probs..
what reasons did they give for refusing it for your daughter ? i'm sure you can even claim it for step kids.
i take it your daughter is in the uk?
