Nothing to worry about, if all the steps were followed carefully, of course it is legal...

One of Jet's cousins was so jealous that kept telling her that she wasn't married......

Well..... She is still sick jealous... and my wife is here with me in Wales.....

Hi Denehazel, why is she so concerned about making it legal?

did you register your marriage at the british embassy in Philippines? if so, you can get your marraige contract at registry office there in UK.to show her that its recorded there in UK.
    hope this helps.

I think that when the marriage certificate was given to the embassy when applying for an entry visa for the uk they do this already, that is what we were told by the registry office here

sorry, but i have no idea if you can, but you can try.Ring the registry office and inquire about it.Me, i do it in Manila before I apply my visa, then the registry office send me a letter saying that they receive our marriage contract and i can be able to get a copy in there office.

what do you want to register your marriage in the uk for ?

of course your marriage is legal in the uk, as long as your marriage is legally recognised (validly contracted) in the country that it takes place, it is deemed to be valid in England and Wales.

You would not or will not be issued with a visa as a spouse if your marriage is not recognised as valid in the UK, so it obviously is.

    Iain.
    Precisely.
Life is a matter of perspective. Either you complain because roses have thorns or you rejoice because thorns have roses. It all depends on how you look at it...
