I need advise on spousal visa?

Hello. I would like an advise from everyone who can help me. I have been reading this forum for quite sometime now. It has a lot of useful infos, but i still have my questions unanswered.

I have known my fiance for 4yrs now. We met in yahoo chat 2004. I didn't thought that it will work out. I always have bad perception about long distance relationship. I was too busy with my works before and never get around to actually thought of following him to uk. As he was unstable that time too. Until last Mar 2008.. He came as much to my surprise. I was so happy. I knew right then, i want to be with him. We were engaged right then. And he filed an application online while he was here. We recvd an email from the embassy and an instructions. We didn't comply right away, since all the documents are not ready. His planning in coming back in september this year makes me too busy of plannin for my wedding.

Now after reading some of these useful advises from the forum, I felt We need to wait until we get married and file for a spousal visa after. It just worries me, coz we already submitted an application for a visit visa last march. Would it cause a problem for my application? And on his part as my husband... I know he needs to show that he can basically accomodate my stay in uk. But the guy doesnt have savings. Although he got a good work and has been working as regular employee for a year now. I don't know if it would help my application enough for a spousal visa. And for the evidence of relationship. I have lost all the logs from my archive in 2004. My computer was reformatted last nov 2007. Would that western union receipt, i have that save since 2004. Thats the only evidence that i got from our relationship. We don't email. Just phone calls and chats. I still have those phone calls statements from way back 2004. Would those evidence sufficient enough? :( And last, when i get married to him this september... do i need a new passport to have my surname change to his? coz i just got mine last february...

Please Help! Any advise and tips are most welcome. Thank you.

    hi dee..
I lodged my application last june 23, 2008 (spouse visa) and it was my 4 weeks of waiting.. i didn't change my passport.i applied in my maiden name....the embassy would consider your passport as long as that is you...hehehehe...and just wrote in the application that i will amend my passport in the future into my married name...

regarding with your evidence of relationship...you should include Pictures... personal letters from you and your hubby... tickets and hotel accommodation with your name on it and your hubby...chat logs...(actually i book bound it every month)...hehehe...printed outs text messages...emails...telephone bills...parcel receipt(if any)... well i'm not saying that you should do what i did...this is just a suggestion...

anyway with regards to Marriage certificate... you'll spend time in processing it in NSO...

dee if your MC still in local registry in your place you can get the original copy to them and photo copy it and send to NSO office if you wait to the local registry to do its take couple of months before they send your MC to NSO, if you send it by delivery express and keep the receipt and the next day go to NSO show the receipt to them and they give you the copy with the stamp on it.
thats what i did, thats why im not waiting for too long for my MC.i was sent my MC thursday then monday i got my MC from NSO

Oh thank you very much Trina. I will definitely include our pictures together, bills statements and receipts from WU. Anything that comes from him. Hubby doesnt have any chat logs, he's fairly new to these. And quite surprised with all these requirements we need. It's better to be ready and equipped with all these necessary requirements. Your suggestions are helpful sis. With NSO, i will soon process it right away so it wont delay me more. I want to be him before Christmas this year. Thank you sis, i hope to see you soon when i get there.

Hi Trina. My wife submitted her spouse visa application June 20, 2008 after we got married in the Phil earlier in the month. I will let you know when we get any news about the application as it should give you an idea of the delay if you don't get yours before. It's only 4 weeks now so I suppose there is at least another 4 weeks to wait in agony.
