Found some numbers for cheaper phone calls to the Philippines.
As little as 5.5 pence a minute....

We got a Lebara sim card and use a spare mobile. Calls to Phils are 10p per minute to land lines and mobiles. No service charges, credit lasts about six months without use and occasionally we get free credit.

I just picked up a lebara sim for 5 francs, with 10franc credit. the credit lasted 40mins (to mobile) so thats 0.25 (about 12p) per minute.

but then you get double load when reloading, or load + 25% reloading online. so its pretty good deal.

a nice thing is that there are no access numbers to dial so it is nice & simple for the people with fat fingers.
