SPOUSE VISA processing here in the UK

I am here in the UK already as I have been issued my ENTRY CLEARANCE to enter the UK by the Manila Embassy. So I got married here in the UK a few days ago as I only have 6 months to get married to adjust my status to a SPOUSAL VISA. We submitted the applicaiton to UK BORDER IMMIGRATION OFFICE already in SCOTLAND. How long will it take for the SPOUSAL VISA to be issued so I can have my RIGHT TO WORK here in the UK and then get my NI number for employment.

    Thank you......

    hello Nizza,

We feel the same thing doing nothing. I'm from Cebu too but I'm chinese.

I am living in Gillingham,Kent. How long have you been here in UK? As for me I just arrived last June 16 and I'm getting married this 28 of Aug and my visa will be expired in November. So I guess its my turn to apply for spousal visa too after marriage. I cant believe the visa fee for spousal is very expensive. have you reported your marriage to the phil embassy?

I have ym if you want to chat.

hello and welcome as kimmi said normally takes that time. When i had it last year took me 3 weeks to get my flr.

You can register to ur hubbys gp if u want it now. No need to undergo any medical test.

you cant process ur ni yet, u need to wait for ur passport coz they will require it from u when u apply for NI number.

By the way im from cebu too..

    all the best

    hi Niza,

yes I am a filipina also..since u submit ur application it will take roughly around 3 to 4 weeks..about registering in NHS or in GP u can go to them directly together with ur husband and tell them that ur married already and u wanted to be registered, and if u are registered already they will give u a sched for a Smear Test but still it depends on ur GP..

about the National Insurance Number, u can only apply if uve got ur passport back with u and ur marriage cert. because it is one of the requirements u need there and any docs that uve applied for work but since u just submitted ur application u still have to wait..

Goodluck and God bless..Hope to chat with u soon..
