    My Wedding

    Hi guys,

Well, as you may or may not know I'm headed off to phils at the end of August to get married to my lovely Bert.

The event will take place at the City Hall in Las Pinas City, can anyone tell me what it is like there? or even better if anyone has any photos....

It'll be my first time in The Philippines and I am very excited! Bought my dress on Monday, a great find in Monsoon sale, looking forward to putting it on for real!

Got my interview with the registrar on Friday, I'm guessing by the time I get it after the 21 days I might as well jsut take it with me, I fly out on 27th August rather than send it out for Bert to get changed at the Embassy. If anyone thinks differently I'd be happy to receive any advice.

To the ladies, will I be able to get some kind of floral headdress made at short notice in Las Pinas or Makati when I get there. I'm guessing that there are beautiful flowers over there, or would I be better getting a tiara or lthe like before I go.

Thanks for any info in advance
    K xx

Try this next month looks like there load has run out

Far better to get the flower tirara thingy done in Phill will be cheaper and one less thing to take over.

If your near manila you might as well go yourself.

Loads of malls nearby to recuperate afterwards

Unless I ditch almost everything I take there won't be much room for anything, Qatar flight gives me 30kg allowance but then my flight from Heathrow to Newcastle is only 20kg. Probably leave my wedding dress over there though if needs be....

At our wedding in phill as the guests left it was a competion to see who could take the most floral decorations, and then the wifes aunts were packing everything food wise so we all lived on left overs for the rest of time and after i had flown back

Best to leave in Phill, your probably be wanting to take back gifts for the family and friends anyway

Like many phill gov websites they seem to run out of load half way though the month i kid you not
Worth bearing in mind if you need to refer to them for some reason then best to save the pages on your pc or print out just in case.

Lets hope they do not run out of load. And everything goes great for you on the day guys! God bless you.

It seems the city has a Bamboo organ in the local parish church.

I'd definitely recommend that you take it with you. Processing at the UK embassy takes only about 30 mins, and doesn't need an appointment. I've had couriered papers take 3 weeks to reach me in Phils - it's not worth the risk!

Don't make promises when you are in JOY. Don't reply when you are SAD.
Don't take decisions when you are ANGRY. Think twice, Act wise. BE happy.
