about time the gov did something about having to come to the uk within 28 days of the start date of a spouse visa, or you risk having to apply for FLR before ILR
well gov has done what the AIT suggested, spouse visa will be soon valid for 27 months not 24

'A person holding an entry clearance as a spouse/civil partner/unmarried and same sex partner will normally be admitted to the United Kingdom for an initial period not exceeding 27 months in line with the validity of their entry clearance. After arrival they will be required to complete a 24 month probationary period before applying for indefinite leave to remain, which is subject to satisfactory completion of the Knowledge of life and language in the UK test (KOL)(see 13.15).
