At Last, at the fourth attempt, my darling wife Louella passed her driving test today. It's cost an absolute fortune, but at last, it's all been worth it. She has just arrived home and she was crying with both happiness and excitement when I opened the door and I knew before she told me even though she could hardly get the words out.:xxparty-smiley-050: :appl::xxparty-smiley-050: :appl::xxparty-smiley-050: :appl::xxparty-smiley-050:
The only thing is, she trying to get me off the computer now so that she can search the internet for her first car already. :REGamblMoney01HL1::REGamblMoney01HL1::REGamblMoney01HL1:

That's a great news Iain:) I'm so glad to hear that:)

Many congratulations to Louella, Iain. Funnily enough, my late wife, Iris passed her test at the 4th attempt as well - and she turned out to be an excellent driver.

I remembered when I passed my driving test, I have to go to work that night, for the first time I have to drive alone and it was a bit scary, excited and nervous I even forgot to turn on my headlights and was driving for 2 minutes without lights.. :doh:doh
Anyway, Congratulations Louella:Hellooo: now you have freedom, you can just hop in to your car anytime you had a fight with Ian:D

The good thing for me is that when we go to the pub as we usually do on a Friday night, she can drive, which means I can have another couple of pints. :D:D:D

That was one of my reasons.. Though the amount of money I've spent on driving lessons and running a second car would have easily covered the cost of taxis (or even stretch limos...) on the times I go drinking with my mates :doh

Your not kidding. We had a bit of a tot up and we came to the conclusion that a conservative estimate for the whole thing, theory test and DVD's for the theory test, 4 test fees and sooooooo many lessons, all in all would probably come to between £4500 and £5000.
That's not including the cost of the damage to my car, the fence and a godfather post, when she miscalculated by about a yard whilst trying to put the car on the front driveway this week. :NoNo::NoNo::NoNo: I was a bit worried she might fail again because she been starting to get a bit cocky with her driving recently, hence the accident.

Thanks for the greetings guys, i really appreciate it! Thank God, finally i managed to passed it! I didn't believed when my examiner told me that i passed the test coz i stalled the car & at that moment i said to myslf, "this is it, i failed again! Driving is not for me!" & i almost tell the examiner to stop the test coz i can't bear anymore the nervousness & shaking that i felt! But i never quit, just drive on & i'm glad i did! At the end, because of shock, i just gave my examiner an embrace & lots of "thank you!" I'm on top of the world!!! Tonight i'll be on top of my husband!!!:censored:
Thank you guys & God bless us all!

Well done Louella, Ian you can come off the diazapan now, or maybe you should order triiple doses to get ready for the car she chooses. Ligaya has already chosen her Landcruiser just because I didn't let her have one on Palawan... she had to make do with our off road monster Isuzu trooper. It is almost impossible for her to break it!!!!!!!!!:omg::omg::omg:
welll done again Louella and yes Ian is made of money, get the brochures out now. I think a nice 3series Beemer would suit you:BouncyHappy:

It may be a while before she'll be driving to Scotland Ricky, just because she's passed her test doesen't mean that she has suddenly gained a sense of direction. :Erm::Erm::Erm: When she gets a car and starts driving on her own, I'm sure that sooner or later I'll be getting a call or text saying, "I'm lost, come and find me" :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

My ex-wife and a friend, who had recently passed her test, decided to travel from home in Reading to visit the RHS at Wisley. Having traveled several miles out of their way and not yet having found their intended destination, they decided to return to Reading ..... and try again!
