That was like reading an excerpt from an Irvine Welsh novel... didn't understand a word of it :icon_lol: Something to do with the weather I'm guessing?

:D

My pal on another forum (car club forum) just told me that summer has been a bit missing back home this year :(

Only compensation for being down here in Lancashire is that summer has actually been pretty good, best one I've had in years but I still miss home.

September is often nice in the north I'll need to try to get up to visit my sister sometime I think.

Hope the rain stays off for you Arthur :xxgrinning--00xx3:

They say the British love to moan about the weather but the Scots have real reason too and we love to do so at every oportunity ;)

Hello Arthur,:Hellooo:
Have not got a clue what you are saying about your weather in Scotland, but I am about as far from you in miles as its possible to be here on the Isle of Wight, it’s bright sunny and warm here today.
Not that I am out in it, am still trying to reduce my clutter after living on my own for 6 years to give my wife room for her possessions when she arrives in just over 2 weeks, I am so excited I could bounce off the walls!
All the best,:BouncyHappy::cwm12::cwm34:

Hi Mick,

:lol2: It's hardly surprising ... in the light of one or two of the responses I've had! Indeed, Iain [who's an exiled Scot from my "neck of the woods"] was wont to ask if it was tagalog or bisaya. Hell, EVEN I found my text less than easy to compose ... and finally had to resort to consulting a glossary of Scots words, meanings and pronunciations to translate across as best I could! :doh

Basically, I was trying to be a :blacklistsmartassHL. And, to be honest, I'm STILL not sure if the end result was entirely accurate. But I suppose it seemed a humorous [albeit, daft] way of conveying my feelings about the *crap "summer" WE'VE had in these parts ... *until this past week, that is!

Glad you've enjoyed infinitely better weather on the Isle of Wight, mate. I hope it continues in this vein for Jennifer's imminent arrival.

I know precisely what you mean about being busy getting rid of clutter in readiness for the "great moment" as I was in the same situation before Myrna came in March ... having lived on MY own for 17 (and a bit) years since my first wife died in 1991. But you'll get there ... no worries! Besides, your missus's presence will make all the difference to your Filipina neighbour, whose husband has been ill lately.

Cheers ... and all the Best, :66:

Arthur.

Hi Arthur,:Hellooo:
Wow you are good remembering names and events when there are so many threads you follow!:xxgrinning--00xx3:
I have not heard from my Filipina neighbour for a few days, but her husband could be passed on before Jennifer gets here.
We will do all we can to help support her at this distressing time.
Mick.
