I managed to pick up one or two very basic words of tagalog then when i met my wifes family couldnt understand it at all (found out they were speaking wara wara):NoNo:
got my own back on the next visit (not sure if this is spelt correctly ) learned mahal, hinihgugma ko ikaw, and pwede ako nimo pakasalan? as i say not sure of the spelling as i learnt phonetically rather than seeing it written ...she almost fell off her chair:icon_lol: did the trick though, married 4 months later:xxgrinning--00xx3:

When the passenger went out the driver asked again: Nakababa na ba?
All passengers chorused: Nakababa na....
husband asked me: are all they goats or what? -> baaahh, baahh, baahhh <-
