National hero Jose Rizal beat Emilio Aguinaldo for the presidency in the mock elections held by the Commission on Elections on Saturday to test the machines and system to be used in the Philippines? May 10 general elections.

Dr Jose Rizal , national hero, died a a martyr aged 35 in the last years of Spanish rule well over a century ago. He was a physician, naturalist, linguist and writer among other skills. There are several cults in his honour, claiming that one day he will return to lead his disciples to salvation.
