It was tough for me because I don't know 60's and not much of the 70's but it still was a decent quiz. Appreciate it Les:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Question for you Les
I used to see a guy at the Flamingo in the 60s who made a really good version of Stormy Monday Blues under another name. He also had a hit with a Stones song.
Name that man :)

Otis Redding appeared at the Flamingo, and recorded "Satisfaction", but can't remember him in a band, or appearing under another name.
Chris Farlowe ? ..... "Out of Time", but can't remember him doing a version of Stormy Monday Blues.
THEM (Van Morrison) appeared at the Flamingo, did do a version of They Call it Stormy Monday (different song), but cannot recall them covering a Stones song.

It just proved to me how much I'd forgotten from all those years ago.:)
Some I never really knew anyway.

...First white artist to sing on motown label anyone?
I always thought it was Chris Clark.
I'm too young to understand all the complexities of Motown and Tamla Motown or even if they were all the same. :D
In my opinion the BEST white singer ever to sing on the Motown label was Dusty Springfield. Noooooo Doubt IMHO :xxgrinning--00xx3:
