Actually that rate is very close to the inter-bank rate. I doubt there'll be a better exchange rate. Might be a organisation with lower charges though.

You right Steve, it's been bouncing around that sort of level since May and hasn't gone much above 68 all year.
The trend is definitely creeping down and I just wonder what exchange rate to start using for my calculations too.
I've been using a calculation rate of P50=£1 these past two years and am now considering basing everything around P40
I really believe there needs to be some 'X' factor built in ( kind of safety factor.)
It's looking like my wife has been correct after all. She said we'd better wait another year or so.
If the interbank rate can stay above 60 for the next 12 months I'll be happy.

Mind you, at 50 to the pound, the conversion is a lot easier. I find 70 or 66 to the pound to be a pain in the butt to convert in my head. :icon_lol:

Hi all. Im going back over to the philippines in 2 weeks time to celebrate my fiancee's birthday (hopefully the visa as well). Where is the best place to buy currency as i normally get mine from the bank and its always a low rate? :Kilt:

Lastlid, if you look back 3 years to October 2009 it was averaging 77
What could it be in 3 years ahead in 2015 if the established trend continues ?

I see your point exactly. :xxgrinning--00xx3: It is topic I am curious about. I guess anything higher than 50 is a bonus.
BTW How do you find, dividing by 66 in your head? I guess being an engineer it's a doddle?

airport is not the best place to exchange -there are certain moneychangers in manila where rate will be higher -what area of manila are you staying or are you going to another island?

all depends on if the extra 1 or 2 peso is worth the travel, the airport and the mall of asia was very close in price and in marikina also very close, then again fix a price you would like and go for it
