The Metropolitan Police is using a new tactic to deport foreign criminals, using immigration tribunals instead of criminal courts.

'safeguards' for defendants :laugher: what about the safeguards for the victims :cwm23:, offload the problem to another country - we should handle problem citizens from other countries :crazy:

I like the handwringing line from the lawyer bloated on legal aid money :-

"this practice just offloads the problem to another country"

I see the situation that it isn't our problem and the foreign criminal scum are being given a free of charge passage back to their country of origin

The unit has identified 40 “predatory rapists” convicted overseas but living in London as foreign nationals:NoNo:

Excellent work by the Met. Let's hope other forces follow suit.

I'd prefer investment in pre-entry checks rather than a hugely expensive task once they're here.
