I have had to try to make a urgent call today and all i get after pressing so many buttons is you are in a queue,
I hate this but you wait and wait but for how long, the music is crap but still you wait, we know you are waiting one of our advisers will get to you as soon as possibly, mean while have to tried to go on our web site to see if we can help there,
I wonder if ever they are recording me , because they would no this answer to how i think of them there crap music and there crap website too,
No joy this time i had to hang , but i did go onto there web site and told them what i thought about the service, hopefully i will get a message in the next few days saying this and that, hay ho back to cleaning ,

There used to be a technique for getting straight through. You ring and press no buttons at al.l Eventually the system should put you through to a human. Not saying it works with every system but it has worked for me in the past :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Inland revenue is approx 25 minutes waiting, I just put them on loudspeaker and continue what I'm doing until they pick up my call. Doesn't really bother me any more as long as my calls are free! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Unless it's life or death I only ever use the free numbers, then I make a snack and pull up a chair. Most things are much more easily sorted out online now...whether we like it or not. It's the older folk who are made to suffer most through this appalling lack of service, and the presumption that every adult uses a computer and internet. :NoNo:

I bought a brand new detached bungalow back in 1981....when I was single and had money.

My choice of bathroom suite ? Avocado, of course. :icon_lol:

Oh, and lots of shag pile carpets.

Change of subject. I received an email from Sheavens in Subic Bay today. It's change it's name to Subiza Beach Resort.

Shag pile has to go with some orange plastic chairs, a fibre optic lamp, loud wallpaper, a glass of Babycham on the coffee table and Englebert on the record player, baby

New owners now too. I preferred Kokomos. Cheap, clean, quiet, and right next to the beach. Oh, and did I say...cheap.

Also...I never forgot the number.. Same with old friends and family tel numbers..
If I was stuck in London after going on the razzle etc and needed to reverse the charges it was very important to never forget that number.

I can still remember our (family) first telephone number too. York 67076. Easy one .

We didn't get a phone until I was 16.

Middle class luxury in those days ! :icon_lol:

Also the phone number at my first job in 1968. York 22224....even easier to remember. :)

Our number was 28680. No code!!
Code for London was 01.
Can't we just go back to the way it was?
