Polite , yeah I forgot that one

Filipina girls are so polite , my gf ( wife to be ) always phone me and asks my permission to go out with her friends . Imagine a western woman doing that !!

For me it is the thoughtfulness, smile, simple pleasures she gets from stuff I forgot was how much fun and buckets of common sense, again makes my so called tertiary education seem worthless. Oh yeah and her ability to use two mobile phones at once and pick stuff up with her feet!!

Talking 10 out of 10 . . . listening 1 out of 10 . . . but I love listening to Mae, so thats OK!!

Loyalty, kindness, thoughtfullness also come pretty high up.

But I don't really like reading things like "a lot of other nice things which do not apply to western women". I know a lot of lovely western women too - and be careful because you are criticising our Mums and sisters!!

Ian

Point taken onboard, and agree to the extent of re-phrasing it slightly.

""A lot of nice things which do not apply to "many" western women""

Not forgetting that the times have changed, and family values in the west have eroded to near extinction.

How often do you think, apart from sunday "roast", people in the Uk actually sit at the table for lunch or dinner...??? As a family...?
I can only imagine the 50+ or retired people that haven't had the misfortune of being divorced. Or families in the more remote areas, where TV reception is bad and the parents cannot afford computers and game consoles for the kids.
I might be wrong, but somehow I haven't seen armies of teen single mothers on the waiting list for a council house, anywhere else but the west... and getting them on benefits... Mine and your taxes...
Whereas in the East the family unit takes care of them.
Dammit... ranting again... sorry boss.....:NoNo:

I am sure that you don't mean to imply that this is all the fault of western women? Even if I agreed with what you said, I would have thought quite a lot of it was down to western men. Take me - I'm just about to get divorced for the second time. Both times from Thai women. What part did western women have to play in my downfall?!!!

I am really proud to say all sorts of wonderful things about filipino or Thai women. But I will not take part on what is effectively stereotyping of western women. As I said, I know lots and lots of wonderful western women - including my Mum!

Never classed it as stereotyping of western women.

It is the pressure of nowadays life style that affects the west more than the east. And yes it is the men too that are involved in it just as much.
The lack of morals in both, the promiscuity..
The sexualization of children by fashion houses, creating lines that don't leave much to cover.
The silly laws relating to drinking age, smoking age.. etc.
Divorce being too easily available doesn't help.
And how come that the bloke doesn't normally get custody of the kids ...?
And on the ex say so, doesn't get a whiff of access to the kids...? I am ranting now.......... Dammit

"The only thing you have to worry about Nigel is when you take a bus together, and the driver says, its only half fare for the child, this actually happened to a former member of this forum."

My (Thai) wife once decided to fill up the car with petrol while I was teaching her to drive. The pump wouldn't work and I got called over by the attendant. "Sorry sir, but you have to be over 16 to use the pumps."

But please, I know this is a light hearted forum, but if we stereotyped another race the way people are slating western women just because they have had a bad relationship or met a bad one we would be accused of racism.

The fact is that most filipino women (and Thais!) are lovely, but there are good and bad in all races. And given my gf's recent mugging, it is hard to take the moral high ground and say that all in the Philippines is rosy!

British women WANT WANT WANT.......and yet wish to work LESS. FACT, look at the Business Institute stats & the size of the debt in this country compared to the Philippines. Nothing to do with past relationships, it the way society here is now......PLUS...Filipina's have morals, not many English ladies do these days, they would happily walk over you to get something they want.

So filipinas are lovely. Western women are selfish and lazy.

Just as long as we don't blame western men, of course, who have all that is desirable and desired. God, we are so wonderful its amazing western women aren't beating a path to our doors!

It is possible to like one thing without making out, as some kind of justification, that you dislike another.

I like Asian women, but I don't "blame" any "failings" in western women for that. It just happens to be what I like. I don't think that anyone who is in love with a western woman (like my Dad or my brother?) has somehow "got it wrong"!

Good grief, Keith, who have you been hanging around with??? "Not many English ladies have morals." I'll go to any local charity or youth group and tell them that then! Judging from my work experience I find it hard to relate to anyone saying that British women work less hard than anyone else. In fact the opposite seems to be the case.

How does Britain rate in terms of the percentage of women in work? I thought it was quite high? And please don't tell me that, to compensate, the men do a fair share of the housework because it isn't true! Western women are expected to hold down a job, raise a family, cook, and clean the house. A tough job by any standards!

No seriously, I accept both arguments. You can see plenty of unpleasant young women in the UK/ West and no doubt there are nice ones, but on the whole Filipinas are far nicer. All those that I've met are the most friendly and charming girls you could ever meet. They don't go out getting legless every weekend, sleeping with everyone they meet, giving blokes who don't meet their standards a "in your dreams mate!".

Many of us have bitter ex-wives who've taken our houses/ kids/ money and naturally feel resentful. My Filipina is everything my ex wife was not. She's beautiful, slim, intelligent, honest, kind, never argues (which doesn't mean I walk all over her, we just get along so well). She really is a dream come true and I know many of you feel the same way about your own Filipina.

I guess it's like if you've had a crap British car (Allegro/ Montego/ Rover 214??) and now you're loving your Mercedes/ BMW/ Porsche and so you **** off all British cars now. :D

All I know is that my Filipina wife is better than ANY British girl I've ever known.

What a load of twaddle, have you actually lived in the real world from smackheads to posh folk? Have you been around many companies, and spoke to management? Have you spoken to the medical folk in charge about the British female nurses compared to Filipino's? Have you managed a lot of women in your time?

The majority are just downright lazy, and want more money for doing as little as they can get away with. Why do you think big companies when they are taken over by private equity or new chairmen suddenly announce large job cuts? Because they know that the staff are under performing and they can get the same amount of work done with 2,000 less staff.

Then the plonkers go out on stirke when they realise that they will then have to work for there wages. :NoNo:

In the civil service it takes around 3 people to make the coffee!!
One to order the coffee, sugar, etc
One to maintain the machine
One to get the drinks

In the small business world that keeps this country running we use a kettle and make it our selves.

Ask Pete about his taxes supporting 13 month maternity leave :Cuckoo:, when I do not no any Filipino's who take more than 6 weeks.

IanB
2nd December 2007, 11:38
Keith,

I can't work out whether its women you blame or western values?

Why do so many filipino women seem to love western men? Is there actually something GOOD about western values and the way we treat women that filipino women can see and like? Alternatively, if filipino men do not treat women the same way we do, have they got it right and we are wrong?

I have a senior role in a business where not only are a lot of our professional staff women, but, as ever, so are our admin staff. I do not notice any difference in the work ethic, absentee rates, or quality of work between the men and the women.

And as for people blaming western women for doing well out of family break ups. . . The fact is that ten years ago family break ups were the single largest cause of child poverty. Why? Because hundreds of thousands of men abandoned their wives and children and never sent them a penny. If the pendulum has gone too far the other way, thats sad. But it might be necessary.

oh scouser keith, stop slagging off british women :NoNo:, have you got sister and a mom :Erm: :D

to say that filipina women are 'better' than british women is :Rasp:, good and bad everywhere, not just in the uk and the philippines... reminds me of my libyan 'friends' at work, who keep telling me there are no gays in libya :D, i didn't know it was a geographical

i know of many decent, hard working british women, many of them work damn harder working and bringing up a family than any british guy could :xxgrinning--00xx3:

as for maternity pay, correct me if i'm wrong but they only have to be paid £100 a week for 6 months, and they can have another 6 months off UNPAID...

as for filipino and other non uk nurses, eastern europeans workers, get on with the work because, they need the money because thier not entitled to benefits, don't know what rights they have, get paid less, expolited, and maybe even more submissive because of their culture?.

my wife works wth someone, my wife tells me that her boss don't like her much, i said to her why, because her friend complains alot to the boss, and my wife says she just gets on with the job, i asked my wife was she right to complain, she said yes, becuase it was about work load, health and safety and improving things..

so :xxgrinning--00xx3: to all the decent british women out there ... and of course to the decent filipina's to :xxgrinning--00xx3:

KeithD
2nd December 2007, 11:55
Helps if you all read the points I make!!! Too lazy to comprehend what I am saying.....bloody English men

and they can have another 6 months off UNPAID

One example: Who the hell mentiones anything about the pay? I was on about the time off, yes they are entitled to it by law, but if you have the morals to support your company, which you should have as they are good enough to employ you, then you should help them out. Thousands of small businesses are crippled by women doing this, and they know full well it buggers the company, but they can't be sacked. As I said, I know of not one Filipino who has taken the full year off, yet most British women who get pregnant take at least 6 months.

If you want to look after the baby, get a work from home job, plenty of them these days, show some responsibility to the company you work for.

PS. Look up the meaning of the word 'majority'

:icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

i'm not sure if i'm english or not :Erm:, i can't remember who said 'just because a dog is born in a stable doesn't make it a horse'...

well, its a catch 22, if the mom stays at home for the extra 6 months she gets no pay, her employer will have to employ someone to cover her year off, her employer is not out of pocket, with all the eastern euros here, you shouldn't have a problem doing that, and she will not need to pay a child minder.

on the other side, if she goes back to work after the 6 months, her employer only needs to find someone to cover the 6 months, but after that she may be able to claim, and even have to claim childcare element of working tax creds to pay for the child care, i know near me its £125 a week, but that could be alot more in many places.. so her working could infact cost the tax payer more..

what about morals to pay women decent and equal pay and working conditions, theydon't pay you for nothing, they pay you for the work you do, like wise. its give and take from employer and employee, small business can employ someone else for 6 months or a year, it doesn't cost them anything, just the time it takes to fill the role and training if any.. what do you want to do sack them because thier pregnant or have had a baby ? how about a bit of support from the employer or company for all the years they worked for them, works both ways.. and as my boss said 2 wks ago to 3 people i work with, its not personal, its just business as he gave them thier p45's. business and morals :icon_lol:.

my wife was back at work in less than 6wks and she had a caesarean. she went back to work because we needed the money, and her employer the NHs wanted to worm thier way out of giving her the job when she found out she was pregnant :NoNo:. filipina's my wife knows, most are nurses on work permit, and she knows a few, and they have to work, thier not entitled to the childcare element of tax creds, even thou they been and worked here for years, so their husband or wife has to find a job where one works in the day time and the other works thru the night, so they don't have to pay £500-600 a month child care.. and i think even thou europeans can claim it after 1 year of working here

After I got divorced, I promised myself I would live it up a little....
Coming out of a 22 years marriage, without even a second pair of shoes was bad, don't wish it on anybody.
Started working long hours to make sure that my VOLUNTARY C.S.A monthly payments went in ok, without delay.
I started, after a while, dating again, a bit rusty, but I was pulling alright... None of the "nice" women I met were, in my opinion, commitment material and I felt let down, because I was, then, looking for a relationship of sorts.
I swore to myself never to marry again.
I started taking my holidays abroad, sometime on my own, sometime with the kids in tow.
But Europe started to look boring.
During my working life I traveled extensively all over the world, and so, one year, I decided to have a couple of weeks in Bali... Call it memory lane.
The place gets bombed, so i change the tickets to Davao, and go and meet a so called friend. Well, she was a scammer, so I spent a few more bob, while there to go to Cebu.
Without looking or searching for anything but a holiday, I met the most beautiful and decent, mild mannered, hard working, soft spoken Pinay, but absolutely NOT submissive or servile..... Jet.
A couple of months later, I took 2 more weeks, unpaid holiday, to check out wether what I was feeling for her, was mutual. It was.
I asked her to be my wife, I was really flattered she accepted.
To cut a long story short, I had my fill of "white" women in general.
I find the vast majority of them, fat arsed, vicious, bitter, lazy, stuck up, and ready to give it away for a pint of cider, or a bottle of bacardi breezer. With the morals of an alley cat but more promiscuous.
It's ok for your ex, to fetch different blokes home, with the kids sleeping in the next room...
But if you try to do the same with your girlfriend, or present wife all hell breaks loose....
I have seen my kids only once since Jet arrived on the 20th of september.

Another thing.... We have 2 women working in our sales office... Looking at their Total sales for the year, they havent taken home £ 6000 gross yet.... Everybody else is on at least 22k already or more...
We can't sack them, although they underperform week in and week out.
God help us if they get knocked up....

Why do I rant so much...?

oh don't get me started on sales people :cwm23:

why can't they be sacked ? if they don't make their sales target every month, they should be.. it comes with the job, just like if i take the :censored: , i should get the boot..

sales people i've worked with, always got a good basic pay, most never bothered to learn about or master what they were selling, and always passed any problems with an order onto someone else :cwm23:

but what i have noticed, those sales people who did sell a lot use to be guys, and maybe the reason was the purchaser he was talking to was a guy to, they were like friends, telling jokes, talking about getting drunk, about football, cars, women.. so most women in sales were at a disadvantage..

So you have not heard the non pc coments that most phills male or female make in my experience on a variety of subjects?
Also be careful you don't get on to religion with many people in phill, if you don't wish to hear what i would say are bigoted views by Birtish standards. Many people will have "buckla" friends but would not be happy if their children were gay just like in the UK.

The person in the streets views of "bombays" and muslims from my limited experience is not one of warmth and loving.

I'm trying to make a simple point. You can like filipino women without slagging off western women. As an example, several ladies have very nicely said why they liked western men - and none of them thought it necessary to **** off filipino men.

I do not really believe that English men can be so wonderful and English women so evil. Quite clearly this cannot be true, so we are either kidding ourselves or being silly.

we really cannot generalize people Ian, there are some bad and there's of course still some nice people around the world no matter what their race is or what country they belong..

but since most of the forum members here are in relation with a filipina or shall i say married to a filipina and have had unforgettable experience with British Women we cannot control or stop them talking like that to the Brit women..

I myself do have some British women friends and I can say they are great and I know how they love their husbands and kids but sad to say most of our friends here encountered or experienced having married with a British women so it is easier for them now to differentiate and compare..well it's like u, comparing filipinas with thais..innit?

There is nothing wrong with British women, after all, I know two British woman who are very dear to me, one is My Mum, the other is my 32 year old sister, they are great examples of great British women, my sister has 2 jobs and brings up her two children alone, she wont take any help from me, even though her older Kuya has offered her an allowance, no she is too proud, we cannot stereo type British women, no more than we can stereo type Philippine women.
