Humans have only been capable of getting things into space for the last 50 years, out of 4.5 Billion since the planet has been here, that is very very small odds. Then use those same odds for another civilisation to do the same within the Univeres time frame, around 14 Billion years, and the chances of the two existing at the same time is also slim.......but this statistic is then enhanced by the fact trillions x trillions of planets exist.
