hi to all its me again,..i know some of you here still remember me im fhara from cebu and recently in scotland now coz i was lucky to get a visit visa last year, but my visa is only until april and my question is....
my bf's paper is not yet done so he want me to get another visit visa for the second time when i go home to phils this april,..but then i was wondering if you heard about this situation like coming back as visit visa but im almost 3 mos preggy now, which we are both very happy of what happen...but is it possible or you think the eco will allow me to come back while im pregnant and give birth here?...im really confused about this coz i know visa fee is not refundable and also when i get another 6 mos visa when i go home again after my visa i dont know if its okay for the baby to travel if she/he is just 2 mos old...hope you guys can help me..my head is aching thinking whats the best thing to do...coz my bf want me to give birth here,..but i dont know..thanks for reading this and godbless to all of you....

Why don't you apply for a Fiancee visa on your return????

The fact that you are pregnant could be a big help with the ECO and maybe, only maybe, fast track the application.
    It would show some commitment.

Firstly you should normally only spend a maximum of 6 months in any one year period in the UK on visit visas. So the ECO may well reject you straight away if you apply immediately as it appears that you are trying to settle in the UK using visit visas.

Secondly I'm not sure if you would be entitled to free health care whilst in the UK, if you are not and you actually get charged it could work out very expensive.

I suggest to go home and give birth there.
You will have the support and help from your family that you need at that time.

Regardless of birth place, the child will still be entitled to a British Passport if the name of the father and nationality are stated on the birth certificate.

Besides, this would give him time to get his business in order and get proper documentation ready for a spouse visa.

    Good luck

As I said though I think you will struggle to get back to the the UK with another visit visa so soon, so you may not have a decision to make (assuming you are not considering overstaying).

I agree and it's really worth it. Are you having a strong desire?

That's normal dear. I was same before till after 3 months...It's worst ever..but again it's worth it in the end most specially when you seen your baby...

I hope you will deliver through normal one but if ever it's CS and you wont labor like I was...then you're lucky too.

I looked into this when Ruby visited UK in 2007. Emergency out-patient treatment for visitors is free, but if you are admitted (an overnight stay), or require routine treatment, then you will be billed.

Hi Dom. I think I read on another post recently that it is no longer automatic as of 2005. Not sure though.

The only recent rule change I know of is "If you were born before 1 July 2006 you may not qualify if your parents were not married at the time of your birth.". But in this case the change of rule is likely to help.
