Gentlemen, why have you chosen a Philippine woman?

I have always been attracted to petite ladies, so where better to find one than the Philippines, over there they are all petite, well 99.9% of them anyway. But seriously, I had a gig at a party for a Filipina and a Brit who got married in the Philippines and decided to throw a post wedding party for all of their friends in the UK when they got home.

Quite a lot of the guests at the party were Phil/Brit couples which at first made me somewhat curious about Filipina's, especially in the way they treated their men folk. Then after a few days my curiosity got me browsing the web, not too seriously at first, but eventually I became more and more intrigued by the whole idea and so I signed up to Cherry Blossoms.
After chatting to maybe 20 or more girls (quite a few of them potential scammers) I eventually met Louella who bowled me over the first time I saw her on the webcam. The other thing that impressed me greatly with Louella is that she was very jokey and not at all heavy and serious like most of the girls I had chatted to previously.

It was in mid September of 2005 that I first met Louella and by the end of October that year I was smitten and found myself on the plane and heading for the Philippines. The rest, as they say, is history. When I look back at that period of my life, I still can't believe I actually done that, it's just so out of character for me, especially since I was the sort of person who firmly believed that these people who sign up to internet dating sites are just so SAD SAD SAD.

Yes Iain, our stories are very similar. I was told to try Internet dating and my immediate response was, 'That's for saddos!!!'
