Aahh ... we, up here, have a saying that a Geordie "is a Scot with his/her head cut off ...!"

Actually, my father's brother was married to a 'Tynesider' and two of my cousins were born in South Shields - and still live there. Well no, to be more accurate, one now stays in Sunderland.

I was always told a Geordie was a brainless scot My family are originally from scotland anyway as is my surname,my cousin still has a croft in Caithness(desolate place).
