OMG!!! I was in Trinoma watching the match in the cinema... and I was nervous because there were some "traditions" that Manny didn't do for this fight so I thought it was a bad omen...
First "tradition": his mom was with him in Vegas.. though she didn't watch the match, she always stay at home and pray whenever Manny has a big match. This time, she's in Vegas and doing her shopping and singing the videoke... lol.. she deserves it though.
Second "tradition": first time to get a man (Martin Nieverra) to sing the national anthem... and he sang it soooo beautifully... Martin is indeed a very good singer.. one of the best... I was teary-eyed... or must be the tension I felt in the cinema... lol
Anyway, I was expecting that it would be a long fight... I have watched how Hatton is and he really is a good boxer... he was sooo anxious with giving Manny a KO and well, Manny gave it to him.. poor fella.. when I saw him on the floor and didn't get up for a long time... I prayed that he will be okay... for a while I thought he was in a coma...
I blame Hatton's demise to Mayweather! He is such a talker... and he didn't train Hatton well... he arrives in the training an hour late.. and the rest of the time, talking to media and telling them how good a coach he is ... oh well.. Roach was right... Mayweather is all talk!
Anyway, I have to agree... the fight was so fast... I was hoping they'll reach until Round 12. Hatton should've kept his right hand up.. he could've blocked Manny's left hook... LOL
