Hi Nigel, When I was in Davao I must admit I was aware of very high security there but I must admit I felt very safe (where is anywhere safe in the world now though). Cebu it appears is in the Typhoon belt if I am correct and that worries me as I have seen alot of the problems there with Typhoons. It seems to me that Mt Apo protects Davao. I havent thought much yet about what part of Davao to live but my fiance assures me Davao is safe, and that their Mayor is very good.
