    I think Philhealth is very confusing with the variations in what percentage of the cost they will actually cover. I'm waiting for a reply from them and I will see if I can get a more of an understanding of what they do and don't cover and why in different cases they seem to pay out different percentages of the total bill.

    I myself is confused too everytime we using philhealth benefits i do hope no more of it

    Have you checked on Medicard, Iain? My friend and her family is using Medicard and it seems to be very helpful even on check-ups. I think it's just important that you check if they have any accredited hospitals or dental clinics at your family's area to ensure accessibility when you need them.

    medicard is also good, my mom is on this one actually

    I see no one has mentioned,that as an alien you cannot be in Phil health under your own name.You have to be enrolled as a dependant of your spouse

    I did say that it wasn't for myself that I was enquiring. I was looking at taking out and paying for, healthcare insurance on behalf of my wife's family and for their benefit only.
